Take a boat ride on Lake Wörthersee
The best way to explore Lake Wörthersee is by boat. The lake opens up from a completely different – magical – perspective. The piers are in the most beautiful places around Lake Wörthersee and offer additional excursion options. With the Wörthersee Schifffahrt, excursions, charter trips, and an Advent boat trip are possible in addition to regular service.
The shipyard is located in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee – in the beautiful eastern bay right next to the Pizzeria Trattoria Villa Lido.

Have a Walk at the famous Velden am Wörthersee Promenade
The promenade takes place in Velden from mid-July to the end of August. Every evening, the Seecorso is transformed into an eventful pedestrian zone for visitors of all ages. Acrobatic, magical, and comedic shows take place in front of the Schlosshotel Velden, at the Gemonapark, and in the Kurpark.
More than 40 local and international artists inspire the spectators while strolling through the atmospheric place.
Especially for smaller children, there is the Bambini promenade, which starts at 6 p.m.
Of course, Velden is also known for its Casino, the legendary Schlosshotel Velden, and its vibrant nightlife.

Visit Maria Wörth with the famous Pilgrimage Church
On the southern shore of Lake Wörthersee is the popular excursion destination of Maria Wörth with the well-known pilgrimage church on the rocky peninsula. A lot of weddings take place here.

Wörthersee Waldseilpark – Forest Rope Park in Pörtschach
Enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Wörthersee and balance from tree to tree over ropes or suspension bridges.
The new forest rope park on the Niedere Gloriette promises climbing fun for young and old in Pörtschach.
The low Gloriette is located directly between Sportplatzstrasse and Seeburger Weg. You can put your skills to the test at dizzying heights with a wonderful view of Lake Wörthersee in the “Waldseilpark Wörthersee”.
Equipped with a helmet and seat belt, after safety training and a practice course, you can go on a journey of discovery in the climbing park.
A separate children’s climbing course is set up for younger visitors.

Pyramidenkogel – Observation Tower
The Pyramidenkogel is probably the most striking point on Lake Wörthersee. It is located in the municipality of Keutschach and is the world’s highest wooden observation tower. The 360-degree panoramic view of Carinthia is unforgettable.

The Pyramidenkogel observation tower is open daily from February to October. The tower opens daily from November to January.
