Summer is perfect exploring the city of Vienna. Whereas most of the boulevards are packed with tourists my preferred places for are the little streets of Vienna “Innere Stadt”. These streets are usually very old and during centuries tell a many stories. One of my favorite is the Weihburggasse which is a street that connects Kärtner Strasse to Seilerstätte. Most of the buildings built in 18th and 19th century have lovely small backyards. This little street was very popular so many prominent artist from former time like Johann Strauss used to live here.

The backyard in the house #21 in the Weihburggasse immediately captured my attention. It used to be an old beerhouse “Zur Stadt Bamberg” (1787). Franz Schubert hosted a Schubertiade in 1823 there. The lovely backyard is full of green with a little well on the side. Just have a look and enjoy
