Yes…you are right – cars are mainly a men’s topic … but when it comes to my wife – she loved our trip to Wolfsburg … time to skip prejudices…..and don’t forget the luxurious surrounding the 5 star Ritz Carlton offers with its luxurious amenities like the unbelievable pool….

The ‘Autostadt Wolfsburg’ – an outstanding experience

Decades ago the Volkswagen group built a factory in Wolfsburg, in 1994 the decision to augment the company’s headquarters in Wolfsburg and open it to customers – the ‘Autostadt’ was born!

Not only can Volkswagen customers pick up their brand new cars there but also visitors may experience automotive expertise and learn about the relationship between a manufacturer and its customers. The Volkswagen brands like VW, Audi, Lamborghini or Bugatti are represented in different pavilions that are designed in matching styles representing the different brands…….a wow adventure for car lovers….!!!

Countless attractions are offered in the ‘Autostadt’ – share my top two with me (and my wife):

The Car Towers

Two fully automated steel framed glazed storage towers are defining the heart of the auto city – storing up to 400 each! The chance to book a lift in the specially designed cabin for transportation of people instead of cars should not be missed – not only is would you be impressed by the technical features – the view that reveals is amazing!

The Off-road Parkour

An All-terrain track can be experienced with a VW Tuareg – a track to show off respect – climbing steps, navigating a water hazard, negotiating a hill with a 60% incline …. Your instructor guides you to the track driving himself first – handing over the car …… to my wife in this case ….… she is the more wheels crazy of us…..meant for me …experiencing the parkour on the back row….!!!

Dinner at the Aqua restaurant– another excitement to remember!

Choosing an outstanding place for dining with your partner or friend is not a challenge in Wolfsburg ….Why? Simply because the Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg offers you one of Germany’s most famous signature 3-star Michelin restaurants with – Aqua! Chef de cuisine Sven Elverfeld will touch your senses with – after filling them with ‘need for speed’ ideas the whole day – indescribably delicious dishes that are an adventure itself! Starting with some ‘mood makers’ …. Followed by the main menu offering some surprising tastes combined with classic dishes…..topped with a selection of finest sweets matching the tastes of the menus ingredients…no need to mention the excellent selection of champagnes and wines that are offered to specially sound off every dish…….no wonder the Chef and the restaurant are awarded with numerous prices…..enjoy your evening there as the perfect finale for a perfect trip!
