Vienna’s oldest baroque park is located in the second district of Vienna. The history of the place goes back into the 16th century when this area was used as a small hunting area and lodge. In 1705 the garden and the palace were redesigned and in 1775 the Augarten was opened to the public by Emperor Joseph II.  The Augarten is designed in French Baroque style with beautiful flower gardens and impressive avenues of maple and chestnut trees.  The area hosts a number of beautiful buildings like the Palais Augarten, the Augarten porcelain factory (Vienna’s premium brand of porcelain) and the Augarten contemporary Gallery.

On a beautiful warm summer day a small group of passionate photographers Patrick , Lukas  Silia who has a  magnificent Lifestyle and Travel blog www.theviennesegirl.com and I wandered through the park and captured many many photos.  I took pictures with my system camera and one picture with my Samsung Galaxy S6edge for my Instagram account  @gregsideris

Strolling jointly through the park avenues gives you fantastic perspectives and lots of inspirations for photography, not forgetting it is a lot of fun. Best time to visit the Augarten is early morning and late afternoon.
