Vienna — The unveiling of the new McLaren Artura Spider at the grand opening of the redesigned McLaren Showroom Vienna marked a significant moment for automotive enthusiasts and luxury sports car aficionados alike. Hosted by FREY Luxury Cars, this event not only showcased the latest advancements in hybrid supercar technology but also solidified McLaren’s footprint in the Austrian market and beyond.
The Spectacle of Innovation and Elegance
With over 30 Press Guests in attendance, the showroom on Vienna Landstraße became a stage for the European premiere of McLaren’s first high-performance hybrid convertible supercar. The sleek design and cutting-edge technology of the McLaren Artura Spider stole the spotlight, promising an exhilarating blend of performance and environmental consciousness.
George Biggs, McLaren Automotive’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, highlighted the significance of the occasion: “McLaren’s mission is to blend the exhilarating performance and technical excellence of our supercars with an exceptional driving experience. The ongoing expansion of our dealership network, especially in key growth markets like Austria, is crucial for our sustainable growth and as a gateway to Eastern Europe.”
A Closer Look at the McLaren Artura Spider
The Artura Spider is not just any supercar; it is a pioneer in the hybrid sector. With a staggering 700 horsepower, a torque of 720Nm, and a top speed of 330 km/h, this marvel can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. The carbon monocoque structure and a weight-to-power ratio of 480PS/tonne underscore its lightweight design and robust performance.
Moreover, thanks to its state-of-the-art hybrid technology, the Artura Spider enjoys a significant tax advantage in Austria, with only 2% standard consumption tax (NOVA). This positions the Artura Spider as a leader in its class not only in performance but also in affordability relative to its features.
Frey Luxury Cars: A Modern Hub for Luxury and Performance
The newly inaugurated 450 square meter showroom is a testament to FREY Luxury Cars’ commitment to luxury and performance. Stefan Ziegelbauer, Managing Director and co-owner of FREY Luxury Cars, expressed pride in the partnership with McLaren: “Investing in a brand born on the racetrack, encapsulating supreme quality in every component, aligns with our vision of offering top-tier sports cars.”
Anja Frey-Winkelbauer, co-owner of FREY Luxury Cars, also reflected on the trust and partnership with McLaren: “Hosting the European premiere of the Artura Spider in our new showroom highlights our trusted partnership and our longstanding expertise in this segment.”
