Graben is a popular Vienna Instagram spot in Vienna, Austria. The street is lined with high-end shops and restaurants, making it the perfect place for Vienna Street Photography to capture some candid shots of shoppers and passersby. If you’re looking for a location with many Instagram locations, be sure to check out Graben!

The Graben leads from the Goldenes Quartier Vienna to the beginning of Kärntnerstraße at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The Viennese plague column (Pestsäule) on the Graben is famous, which was erected in 1679 during the last major plague epidemic on the orders of Emperor Leopold I.

Another Top Vienna Instagram Spot.  The whole campus consists of 8 Instagrammable buildings each designed by a different architect. For the Library make sure you take your Vienna Instagram photos from outside and inside. (You definitely need a wide-angle lens)

The Burgtheater is one of the most popular photography spots in Vienna.

The theater’s exterior is quite beautiful, and there are a number of interesting statues and sculptures located around the building. The beautiful facade, whose white marble has recently been cleaned, is adorned with statues of famous writers like Goethe and Schiller and allegoric figures depicting love and hatred.

Photography Tip! If you are interested in taking photographs at the Burgtheater, it is important to be aware that there are a number of restrictions in place. Photography is not allowed during performances, and tripods are not permitted inside the theater.

Another fantastic street for photography in Vienna is the Kohlmarkt which leads from the Graben towards the Hofburg Palace. Towards the end closest to the Hofburg is another nice coffeehouse called Demel. This is similar to Cafe Central with a wonderful Viennese design (although it looks very different).

If you’re visiting Vienna, be sure to add Kohlmarkt to your list of places to photograph. You won’t be disappointed!

The Vienna State Opera architecture is very impressive.

If you’re looking for the best Vienna State Opera photography spot, look no further than the top of the stairs on Opernring. From this vantage point, you’ll be able to get a clear shot of the front entrance to the opera house.

If you arrive early, you can also snag a spot on one of the balconies overlooking the plaza in front of the opera house. This is a great place to people-watch and snap some photos of Vienna’s famous architecture.

No matter where you end up shooting from, be sure to have your camera ready when the doors open and Opera Stars will start streaming out of the opera house. You never know when you’ll capture that perfect candid shot!

One of my favorite Rooftop Bars with a cool lounge atmosphere. 360 views all over Vienna make it a photographer’s paradise. The Bar opens from April to September usually at 16:00. Make sure you leverage the Golden sunset hour.

Albertina Square is one of the most popular photography spots in Vienna. The square is located in front of the Albertina Museum and is a great place to take pictures of the cityscape. The square is also a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike.

Burggarten, 1010 Vienna – TOP Wedding Photography Spot

Built by Emperor Franz Josef for his wife Sisi. One of my favorite Public Parks.

If you’re looking for a breathtaking spot to take photos in Vienna, look no further than Burggarten. This gorgeous garden is located right in the heart of the city, and it’s the perfect place to snap some stunning shots.

Goldenes Quartier, 1010 Vienna (Golden Quartier)

The Goldenes Quartier is the most exclusive shopping district in Vienna. It is located right in the city center. St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg, and the Albertina are very close by. Opened in 2014 in the old city of Vienna, it encompasses 8,500 sqm of Tuchlauben street and 3,000 sqm of Am Hof.

There are also a lot of people around, which makes it a great place to people watch. If you’re looking for a beautiful and historic place to take some photos, Judenplatz Vienna is definitely worth a visit.

Opposite of the Vienna State Opera. Probably the most photographed Hotel in Vienna.

Photography Tip:  Head to the Cafe and order a Coffee and Sacher Cake for a perfect flatly photo. (In summer come early so you don’t wait the long lines)
