The prestigious Nespresso Gourmet Weeks celebrated the anniversary and with them the top-class local gastronomy. For ten years now, the culinary pleasure weeks have been part of the local gastronomic calendar – from the 26th of February to the 25th of March 2018, they are going into the tenth round this year.
The Celebration Event
For this special occasion Nespresso invited to the Palais Wertheim, where 2-Michelin-star chef Heiko Nieder spoiled the palates of the guests with an exclusive menu. He inspired the Who’s Who of the Austrian gastronomy scene – including trout roe, a seafood broth and coconut-namelaka. Of course, the three courses were rounded off with harmonizing Nespresso coffees in food pairing.

Years of successful cooperation with Gault & Millau
Gault & Millau publishers Martina and Karl Hohenlohe have been partners for the Nespresso Gourmet Weeks since the beginning. On site, they expressed their joy for the joint success project: “We are proud that the format has developed into such a great success. The guests from the local culinary scene, such as Toni Mörwald, Rudolf Obauer and Erich Lukas, showed themselves enthusiastically and in celebratory mood. “I really enjoy being served such a great dinner from time to time,” says Rudolf Obauer, who has been one of the Nespresso Gourmet Weeks partners since the very beginning. “Today we are celebrating our partners”, summed up Nespresso Austria CEO Oliver Perquy at this special celebration. “For ten years, we owe the great success of Nespresso Gourmet Weeks to our partners. From the top players of the Austrian gastronomy over our long-term partner Gault & Millau and all media partners – they are dedicated to this celebration and I am pleased to celebrate together with them at this year’s jubilee! ”
Exclusive delicacies at attractive fixed prices
The 10th Nespresso Gourmet Weeks will take place this year from 26th February to 25th March 2018. Together with more than 60 partner restaurants of the 1 to 4 Gault & Millau categories, “Nespresso Gourmet” invites lovers to taste culinary top menus at an attractive fixed price. Depending on the number of courses, this varies from 17 euros for the two-course lunch menu in the 1-Hauben restaurant to the three-course dinner menu in the 4-Hauben restaurant for 59 euros. At the end of each meal, Nespresso completes the culinary experience with a coffee specialty of your choice.
In addition to Toni Mörwald’s restaurant Zur Traube in Lower Austria, the Eselböck family with the 3-Hauben-restaurant Taubenkobel in Burgenland and the Mesnerhaus in Salzburg, which is also awarded 3 Hauben, are among the guests. For the first time this year, for example, DiningRuhm in Vienna or the Fritz in Burgenland take part.
