Only a 45-minute drive from Vienna the lake ‘Neusiedler See’ in Burgenland is a perfect retreat to spend your days, weekends or even holidays. Various charming towns nestled around the lake offer bathing beaches of different characters…… while some are perfect for families others are ideal for sports lovers. Water sports like surfing and sailing as well as boating make the lake so popular!
Seebad Breitenbrunn
Especially the ‘Seebad Breitenbrunn’ is a place to recommend – it offers a long beach with a cozy lawn and enough trees to catch some shade on hot and sunny days!
Despite surfing, kite surfing, sailing or boating, and of course swimming and simply having fun in the water – this is my favorite moment on hot summer days:
At a certain time of the day – when most of the visitors are gathering their things together and start leaving when the sunlight begins to soften and you can feel the sun preparing to set…..a very special atmospheric mood appears – the perfect setting for a peaceful picnic on one of the boat bridges!

Jois am Neusiedlersee
To give you a hint of how many adorable places this area offers to let
me invite you to round off your sunny day at lake Neusiedlersee with a visit to the restaurant ‘Seejungfrau’ in Jois. Try to catch a table right at the waterfront and enjoy your Aperol Spritz while you inhale the romantic ambiance of the sunset at the lake!
